Overview

Lupin is comprised of a fast growing, innovative and robust team of manufacturing, Research and Development and commercial divisions. Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, US Communications to join our Corporate Strategy and Communications team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and public policy, with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse platforms and to various audiences, including regulatory bodies, policymakers, and the public.


In this role, you will develop communications conveying the broader company’s strategies and supporting the CEO office. You will be responsible for crafting impactful content, including policy briefs, speeches, and press releases, to engage stakeholders and promote the company’s position on key issues in the pharmaceutical sector. A key aspect of this role is the ability to communicate complex topics in clear and accessible terms across different mediums.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create a communication plan to be rolled out across the US.
  • Write, edit, and review a wide range of communication materials, such as policy briefs, press releases, speeches, and reports suitable for multiple levels, internally and externally.
  • Engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and advocacy groups, to build and maintain relationships.
  • Communicate complex topics clearly and effectively to a broad audience, including internal teams, external partners, and the public.
  • Monitor policy and regulatory developments and provide recommendations on communication strategies that align with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with company goals.
  • Lead public relations campaigns to promote the company’s policies and initiatives in key markets.
  • Ability to effectively interact with government officials to craft strategies in alignment with the company’s goals.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Master’s in Public Policy, Communications, or related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a similar discipline is required.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in communications, public policy, or government affairs, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
    • Expertise in creating and executing communication strategies that support business objectives, including advocacy, policy, and public relations efforts.
    • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, building and maintaining relationships with government officials, industry leaders, and advocacy groups.
    • Ability to manage multiple communication channels (e.g., written reports, presentations, media, social media) to reach different audiences.
    • Research and analytical skills to stay ahead of trends in healthcare policy and pharmaceutical regulations.
    • Proficient in the use of computer systems and social media; experience with AI technologies preferrable.

The anticipated salary range for this position in New Jersey is $190,000 - $230,000, plus discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Lupin is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
