Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of Fifteen commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

 

  • The US Procurement Analyst supports the management of Direct goods, Indirect goods, and services spend management across all US Lupin divisions.
  • He/she will conduct spend analysis for various Procurement sub-categories.
  • He/she develops pricing models for negotiations for critical projects.
  • He/she will manage the tracker for Budget vs Actual spend for all Procurement spend categories.
  • Assist category leads while monitoring and managing performance expectations for key suppliers.
  • Develop pricing models and analysis for Request for Proposal (RFP) and determine data points for RFP negotiations.
  • Create interactive reports, enhancing the ability to identify trends and make informed business decisions by procurement category leads.
  • Assist in developing sourcing models, reports, supplier rating criteria, and managing supplier performance and assistance to tracking of any supplier payment reporting.
  • Assist in analyzing data, research potential suppliers, contracts records, and monitor inventory levels to ensure efficient and cost-effective purchasing practices.
  • The individual will collaborate with finance, accounts payable, supply chain, project management, and other necessary cross-functional teams internally to create procurement project trackers like alternate vendor development program, de-risking strategies, and conduct analysis within the group.
  • The individual will support the Procurement team by developing standard operating procedures, creating training documents, and completing statutory reporting for Small Business Subcontracting.
  • He /she will support the gathering of business requirements, conduct industry research to identify trends, conduct supply market research and summarize insights for use in the development of category profiles and strategies.
  • Assists Head of US Procurement to create and update monthly dashboards for leadership and cross-functional reviews.
  • Hold regular meetings with key suppliers and stakeholders as necessary to manage procurement categories analytics efficiently.   
  • Calculate monthly, quarterly, Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and perform On Time in Full (OTIF) analysis for the raw materials and packaging materials category required for commercial pharmaceuticals manufacturing operations.
  • Leading to drive roll out of new analytics and other systems driven platforms that can help the procurement team for efficient and smooth operations.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor/master’s in supply chain, Finance, Business with 2-5 years of experience (Preferred Pharmaceutical experience)

    • Travel Requirement: 10-20%

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in an office environment.
