Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of Fifteen commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

Role Summary

 

The EHS Manager will report to the Engineering, EHS & Facilities Department. This manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within a pharmaceutical company, focusing on environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role involves developing and implementing EHS programs, conducting audits, investigating incidents, and providing training to employees. The EHS Manager also manages hazardous materials, promotes safety protocols, and ensures compliance with industry-specific regulations 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure EHS Program is current and on par with best in industry.
    Need to create, revise and execute comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures to minimize risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure continuous safe conditions for employees, products and facilities.
  • Identify hazards and ensure adherence to most stringent safety standards.
  • Serve as lead investigators for workplace accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver a training program to employees to ensure a sustained and ever-strong safety culture at all levels of Coral Springs FL Operation.
  • Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Staying up-to-date with relevant EHS regulations and ensuring the company's adherence to them, including reporting requirements. 
  • Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans, conducting drills, and ensuring the site is prepared for various emergency situations. 
  • Data Management and Reporting: Tracking and analyzing EHS metrics, preparing reports, and communicating performance data to stakeholders. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with various departments, including operations, research, and quality, to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of the business. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, safety engineering, or a related discipline is typically required. 
  • Minimum 5 years of EHS experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices, including OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific regulations.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in an office environment.
