Overview

Lupin is comprised of a fast growing, innovative and robust team of manufacturing, Research and Development and commercial divisions. Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities

The Sr. Director of IT will lead the IT function for US and Canada regions for Lupin and report to the Sr. VP of Finance and Global CIO. This position manages the IT verticals –IT Infrastructure & Networking, Cybersecurity (part of Global Umbrella), Desk-side service & support, Business Applications including SAP, Vistex, Oracle EPM, Serialization Platforms like RfXcel & Data and Digital solutions - for Lupin sites in US and Canada. The position will have 5-6 direct reports.

 

  • IT Business partner to the market leadership teams and other stakeholders
  • Formulate & execute the IT vision for US and Canada businesses- translating into actionable goals
  • Responsible for end to end IT needs across infrastructure, corporate and market applications, digital / data solutions & information security. While owning the tech foundation for the business to run, having an eye on ‘technology for business value creation’ is important
  • Leverage data to drive top/bottom line and productivity benefits. Collaborate with Digital / Data competency team to deliver meaningful use cases through sustainable platforms for RPA, Advanced analytics etc.
  • Work with global IT competency teams to ensure global solutions meet the market needs. Where needed, direct the sourcing and implementation of new solutions across infra, apps & digital / data
  • Collaborate with CISO function to manage information security portfolio, identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions
  • Assess current business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Implement solutions to address any gaps or to future proof the need
  • Manage/ Implement GMP Applications (including Enterprise, Manufacturing & Quality)
  • Do external benchmark on a periodic basis to leverage best-in-class IT solutions with the objective of identifying risks and challenges in the IT landscape. Develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant SMEs / competency teams
  • Oversee departmental budgeting and forecasting within the organization
  • Direct IT staff recruitment and directly supervise employees
  • Design, update and implement policies, SOPs and systems to align with business strategy long-term objectives
  • Any other projects / initiatives which comes as an outcome of business strategy

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (Pharma Experience Desirable) as IT director or similar leadership role for minimum 5 years
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget
  • Collaborate with global teams across geographies.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities
  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus

 

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 35 pounds occasionally. Generally, work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
