  • Overview

    The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates the activities of department operators through development of shift plans and supervision. Oversee ERP database. Develops, trains and motivates operators. Reviews the production plans then prepares, organizes and communicates daily tasks with operators to achieve the production targets.  Must have expert working knowledge of Solid Oral Dosage manufacturing techniques, including Wurster Coating.


    • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Production Operators
    • Track and report performance and attendance
    • Complete paperwork required for batch processing
    • Track and report daily metrics such as variances in production, labor hours and downtime
    • Track production processing and material management in SAP
    • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
    • Ensures operators are working to utmost standards of safety and GMP compliance
    • Other supervisory and manufacturing duties as assigned


    • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific or Engineering field preferred, High School diploma required
    • 5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience specifically with Oral Solid Dosage
    • Expert knowledge of Wurster Coating
    • 2+ years’ experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing environment also required
    • Working knowledge of SAP
    • Excellent writing and communication skills

    Physical Requirements

    The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
