The Senior Director of US Procurement is a member of the Somerset, NJ Site Leadership Team reporting directly to the Division President and is responsible for the adequate direct and indirect procurement of all goods and services for Lupin in the United States including robust commercial manufacturing, sales and marketing operations, and research and development initiatives. This Senior Director will provide oversight for the procurement of API’s, IT, contract services, production and laboratory equipment, fleet vehicles, furniture, general office supplies, and any other purchasing. Primary objective of this role is the development of operational procurement strategies in support of direct and indirect commodities. This position will require the skills necessary to identify cost saving opportunities, creatively negotiate, generate contracts and manage delivery of optimal solutions for all materials, services, and equipment. It is critical that this individual is capable of facilitating participation of all team members in supply and purchasing assessments when needed as well as fostering relationships with competitive, high-quality, and diverse suppliers.
