Supports the daily operation of the production and packaging lines. Maintains production equipment and production lines. Aids in changeovers and production mechanical problems. Designs and aids in fabrication of machine modifications to run new products. Establishes and maintains spare parts inventory.
Expected to work at a constant reasonable pace, neatly and efficiently, and as a team player with other employees.
Supports and works with Director of Engineering and Building Maintenance when needed, as directed by Mechanical Manager.
Responsible along with other mechanics for neatness, safety and security of shop and tools. Works with all departments to promote teamwork, efficiency, professionalism and safety.
Makes sure all policies, rules and procedures are followed. Set the example for teamwork, cooperation, safety, respect and work ethic for all employees.
Continues to work on and update the lockout/tagout procedures Department of Environmental Protection duties include assisting in the containment and cleanup of spills, and alarm systems. Trained in extinguisher use.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
Lockout/ Tagout Filling and packaging equipment operation, troubleshooting and repair Industrial safety Equipment set-up Hazardous Material handling Electro/ pneumatic troubleshooting
